Shaun Muir Racing History

Shaun Muir Racing was founded in 2002, and began competing in the British Superbike championship in 2004 as Hydrex Honda. In 2011 they switched to Yamaha machinery, where they won their first “Heroic” BSB title with Swan Yamaha and rider Tommy Hill. 2013 saw them become Milwaukee Yamaha, and in 2015 they dominated the national series to win their second BSB title with Josh Brookes.

In 2016 they made their debut in the FIM Superbike World Championship, competing as Milwaukee BMW with 2015 BSB champion Josh Brookes and former MotoGP rider Karel Abraham.

2017/2018 saw the team switch to Aprilia machinery with Milwaukee still as the primary sponsor.  The team consisted of Eugene Laverty who returned to the series after a two-year absence, and Lorenzo Savadori, the 2015 World Superstock champion now in his second WSBK season.

SMR now an established front runner in FIM World Superbike Championship will be gunning for their first victory in 2019.
